AIM Member Event 2026 | National Justice Museum, Nottingham

The AIM Member Event 2026 was held on Thursday 12 February 2026 at the National Justice Museum in Nottingham, bringing AIM Members together for a full day of expert insight, industry updates and peer engagement within the historic Civil Courtroom and Grand Jury Room.
Industry Insight, Risk Management and Legal Updates
The event opened with refreshments and registration, followed by a welcome address from Bob Edwards, AIM Chairman, and Sophia Dunnett, Mutual Manager, setting the scene for a day focused on current challenges and future opportunities for AIM Members.
A keynote presentation from Tim Morton of Adventure RMS explored shared themes emerging from work with over 600 activity providers across three continents in 2025. His session reassured Members that many operational and risk management challenges are widely experienced across the sector, offering valuable perspective and practical insight.
Employment Law, Cyber Resilience and Business Risk
Members then received essential legal and regulatory updates from HCR Law.
- Ben Stanton, Partner in Employment Law, delivered an Employment Law Update for 2026, including the latest position on the Employment Rights Bill and key HR matters affecting activity providers.
- Steven Murray, Head of IP and Technology Disputes, addressed Cyber Resilience, highlighting why digital and operational resilience are now as critical as customer health and safety.
AGM, Member Services and Claims Overview
The AIM Annual General Meeting (AGM) followed, allowing Members to participate in the formal business of the Mutual. A short update from Pharos, delivered by Chris Gallant, provided an overview of Member services and ongoing support.
After lunch and the opportunity to explore the National Justice Museum, the afternoon programme focused on AIM Claims. Nic Warmink, Head of Claims, and Emma Jones presented an overview of claims trends, learning outcomes and key considerations for Members, reinforcing the value of proactive risk management.
Mock Trial and Looking Ahead to 2026
A highlight of the day was an engaging Mock Trial held in the Civil Courtroom, offering Members a humorous insight into the civil litigation process from the ages.
The event concluded with an AIM Update, led by Sophia Dunnett and Ralph Doe, reflecting on the Mutual’s performance and outlining priorities and plans for 2026 and beyond.
