Our Member Event was held on Thursday 21st March 2019 at Lords Cricket Ground at the unique JP Morgan Media Centre.
Held in the exclusive Media Centre, home to reporters and journalists and commentators on match days. This was an opportunity to get access to this unique venue for the day, with panoramic views of the Ground. In addition to the exciting speakers we had, members were given the opportunity to take a tour of the grounds led by an expert guide which included the Grade II* listed Pavilion, legendary Long Room, Players’ Dressing Rooms with the Honours Boards, and MCC Museum, home to the iconic Ashes Urn.
A mouth watering buffet and cream tea with scones were also provided for the delegates that attended.
As with previous member events we had a host of fantastic speakers including experts on risk management, an update on claims and HSE prosecutions, plus updates from the AIM Team and news from the industry Board of Directors.
Speakers included Andy Dalby-Walsh from Activity Alliance, Mandy Maris from MS Amlin, Leanne Conisbee from Clyde & Co and J P Edgington from The Outer Edge.
The events we hold for our members are a key part of what we do at AIM and we are always looking at ways to encourage more members to come along. We try to provide informative and thought provoking content. Location, venue and quality of speakers are always the top priority. Members tell us that the opportunity to network is also much appreciated.
This year we tried to also include some content from the AIM Directors throughout the event which gave an overview of what they do. Look out for more events in the future, there may be smaller more regional events too.
