Thank you to everyone who attended our Member Event in London on 22nd March.

We were very happy that over 50 Members joined us on our first large Member Event since the pandemic.  We really hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did.

On a wet and windy day we arrived in London’s Olympic Park,  thrilled that so many of you could make it.  Our plan for the day was to try and tackle some of the topics that are ‘hot’ in the sector but also to give Members a chance to network and chat to fellow industry professionals, the Board and the AIM team.

With a warm welcome from the AIM team, Chairman, Mutual Manager and Account Executive we kicked off the day with an update on the last 12 months and predictions for the next 12 months for the Mutual.

With thanks to our external speakers:-

Matt Rawlingson-Plant – Mill on the Brue
Mill on the Brue bring an inspirational and enthusiasm to all they do in the outdoors and Matt focussed specifically on how we can all operate in a more sustainable and green way whether you run a large centre or operate independently.

Daisy Rogers-Byrne

Bringing a wealth of experience in discussing neuro-diversity she gave us a whistle stop tour into this interesting topic and how to make the outdoors more inclusive.  Drawing on her own personal experiences and weaving in the science part!

Leanne Conisbee

We have been working with Leanne for many years and  she has always been a great supporter of the activity sector, helping unpick legal jargon and process and looking at particular claims lessons learned studies .

One of the new things we included this year was in response to feedback at previous events.  We offered an open floor discussion for the Members to tackle some of the issues affecting them right now.

Lastly we offered delegates the chance to ride down the Arcelor Mittal Orbit slide and shared a drink on the viewing platform with stunning views of London.

We will be running some smaller networking events around the country this year so look out for further announcements on those.

We are always looking for speakers and venues for events so please email me if you want to offer this for our next AGM and event in March 2024.

Please email [email protected] for further information.

Very informative member event and well worth attending.

I have recently taken out cover with the Activities Industry Mutual and the quote process was actioned quickly and without hassle and I feel happy that I know our cover is in safe hands.

It makes a genuine difference.

Great to have AIM sharing information and driving standards in the industry at the Hollowford Centre Member Event

It’s been great to be involved with AIM and super reassuring to know a team of real people have got your back – keep up the good work!
